When Susan Chandler decided to leave her single-family home and move into an apartment in North Bethesda, Maryland, she knew from the moment she stepped into the sun-filled unit that she had found her next home. There was just one problem: everything inside it needed to go. The apartment was old, worn, and in no condition to be called move-in ready. Susan was looking at a full renovation — every room, every surface, from the kitchen to the bathrooms to the master bedroom and beyond. She found her renovation partner in Bull Run Kitchen & Bath, and the transformation they delivered together was nothing short of extraordinary.

This full-home renovation in North Bethesda encompassed every major living space in the apartment, including:
- A complete kitchen renovation, featuring new white cabinetry, countertops, and a restructured layout with relocated sink and stove
- A wall opening between the kitchen and dining area to bring in dramatic natural light
- Three-and-a-half bathrooms fully redesigned, including one built to ADA wheelchair-accessible standards
- Master bathroom expansion with custom glass shower enclosure
- New flooring throughout the entire apartment, including hardwood in living areas
- Master bedroom improvements, including walk-in closet redesign and increased shelving
- Enlarged breakfast area created by pushing back a wall from the master bedroom
- New lighting installed throughout — including recessed LED fixtures — to brighten every room
- Laundry room expansion with increased shelving and storage
- All doors replaced; closet doors updated with new design
- A monochromatic design palette carried consistently through every space
Designer and project lead Charlie oversaw the entire renovation, guiding Susan through thousands of decisions over the course of the project — and earning her deep respect and trust in the process.

The Transformation Process:
That collaborative process was ed almost immediately. On the first day of construction, a water issue affected neighbors downstairs. Despite the situation not being Bull Run's fault, Charlie came in the middle of the night to investigate and begin repairs. He and his team subsequently addressed the concerns of the downstairs neighbors without being asked, resolving every issue that arose.
"That said so much about him and them," Susan reflected.

Why Bull Run:

Testimonial:
“I absolutely would recommend Charlie and Bull Run. They have fulfilled every single wish and request that I have made, and it's a pleasure working with him. I actually miss him — I'm going to have to come up with reasons for him to come over.”
