After 12 years in their Bristow, Virginia home, Greg and Debbie Bizard knew it was time. The wood cabinetry had started to fade around the handles. The dishwasher and refrigerator doors were constantly clashing — a daily frustration built into the original layout. And after more than a decade of living with the kitchen's limitations, they decided that a touch-up was not enough. They wanted a full kitchen remodel: new layout, new cabinetry, new design — done right. When they found Bull Run Kitchen & Bath, they found everything they needed in one place. The result is a beautiful two-tone gray island kitchen in Bristow that has become the functional, stylish heart of their home.

This Bristow kitchen remodeling project addressed both the aesthetic and functional shortcomings of the original space. The dishwasher was relocated to eliminate the constant conflict with the refrigerator door — one of the primary drivers of the renovation decision. The cabinetry was completely replaced with full-height cabinets that run floor to ceiling, eliminating the wasted dead space above the old upper cabinets. Pull-out drawers were installed throughout, making every cabinet fully accessible without kneeling or reaching into dark back corners. The island was redesigned and repositioned as the centerpiece of the kitchen, offering additional counter space, integrated storage, and a gathering point for the family.

Design & Materials:
The full-height cabinetry is one of the most impactful design choices in this kitchen. "Before we had a lot of dead space over the top, and now it makes really good use of the space," Greg noted. The pull-out drawer system is another standout feature: "Now I'm not down on my hands and knees rooting in the back of the cabinet for things. They come all the way out — we can see everything in the drawer."

The Transformation Process:
The crew, led by Juan, worked efficiently and kept the job site clean and organized every day. "The best part was that they cleaned up every night — we couldn't use the kitchen, but it helped us just to not have that clutter and dust," Debbie noted. The workers were patient with the homeowners checking in on progress and always respectful of the home environment throughout the Bristow kitchen remodeling project.

Why Bull Run:

Testimonial:
“When we decide to remodel anything else in the house — we've been talking about the bathroom — we would definitely use Bull Run Kitchen & Bath and would definitely want to work with Matt directly. We have already been recommending them to various friends. It's been an excellent experience. Working with Matt and then Juan and his crew were just outstanding.”
