After nearly 17 years in the same Fredericksburg, Virginia home, Greg and Tina Irvin were ready for a change. The kitchen was dark, gloomy, and hard to maneuver. The layout didn't work for the way they actually lived. And as Greg put it — they had been staring at it long enough. The relationship they built with Bull Run Kitchen & Bath through that first kitchen remodel was so strong that they returned years later to tackle a complete master bedroom and bathroom renovation. Two projects. Two outstanding outcomes. One trusted team.

The Irvin family's remodeling journey with Bull Run Kitchen & Bath unfolded in two distinct phases. The first project focused on the main kitchen — brightening and redesigning it from a dark, crowded space into a welcoming, functional hub — with the addition of a full new kitchen in the basement, designed to serve the family's entertaining needs near the backyard pool. The second phase, initiated years later, addressed the master bedroom and bathroom suite, which had remained unchanged since the family moved in nearly two decades prior. Designer Matt guided the Irvins through both projects. Greg noted that from the first project to the second, the quality and responsiveness of the Bull Run team was the reason they didn't look elsewhere when it was time for the master suite renovation.

Design & Materials:
Master Bedroom and Bathroom Suite: Years after the kitchen projects, the Irvins returned to Bull Run Kitchen & Bath for a master suite that had gone 19 years without an update. The renovation created better flow, added two new closets — including a spacious walk-in closet for Tina — and delivered a master bathroom with a significantly larger shower, a soaking tub, and a complete redesign of the vanity area.
"The shower — everything about it is just outstanding," Greg said. "And the tub is one of my favorite pieces, as well as the shower, which is much larger than what we had before — much more functional."

The Transformation Process:
"Being in contact with Matt on a regular basis through texts or calls — when I call and reach out I get a response back rather than waiting days or a week," Greg said. "That constant communication made us feel like we were important."
For the master suite renovation, Greg submitted hand-drawn plans with his vision, which Matt then refined for better flow and practicality — a collaboration that produced a result the Irvins are proud of.

Why Bull Run:

Testimonial:
“We knew the quality of work that Bull Run had performed here. Rather than go with someone else and be unsure, we came back to Bull Run — and they knocked it out of the park again.”
