When Kelsey Crawford purchased her condo in Franconia, Virginia, she fell in love with the neighborhood — the outdoor spaces, the community feel, and the proximity to Alexandria. But the unit itself was another story. Cramped wall openings limited the flow for entertaining, worn carpet covered the floors, and the kitchen and bathrooms were far from the fresh, functional space she envisioned. Before she even moved in, Kelsey reached out to Bull Run Kitchen & Bath, and what followed was a whole-home remodel that completely transformed her Franconia condo — completed on a tight timeline and well within her budget.

This Franconia whole-home remodel tackled the key spaces that needed the most attention: the kitchen, the master bathroom, and the guest bathroom. Structural changes were made to widen a previously narrow wall opening, dramatically improving the open-concept flow that Kelsey wanted for hosting friends and family. New flooring was installed throughout, replacing the dated carpet with a fresh, modern look. The renovation was completed before Kelsey's move-in deadline — a ament to the efficiency and professionalism that Bull Run Kitchen & Bath brings to every whole-home remodel project.
Design & Materials:
From the very first meeting, designer Hakan brought a wealth of ideas tailored to Kelsey's lifestyle and budget. Rather than overwhelming her with an unachievable wish list, he guided her through practical design choices that maximized impact. The kitchen received a full transformation with updated cabinetry, new countertops, and modern finishes selected to complement the open layout. The master bathroom was redesigned to create a spa-like retreat, while the guest bathroom received new flooring and updated vanities — exactly what Kelsey had requested. The design throughout struck a balance between current trends and timeless appeal, ensuring the Franconia condo would feel fresh for years to come. When soft spots were discovered in the flooring during construction, the team worked collaboratively with Kelsey to find a solution rather than dismissing the concern — a small detail that spoke volumes about Bull Run Kitchen & Bath's commitment to client satisfaction.
The Transformation Process:
Kelsey bought the condo in April and had until the end of July to vacate her apartment — leaving a tight window to complete a full whole-home remodel. She connected with Bull Run Kitchen & Bath and was immediately impressed by how quickly the team responded and how knowledgeable designer Hakan was during the initial walkthrough. Midway through the project, project manager Charlie joined the team, and Kelsey describes the experience as going from stressful to seamless almost overnight. Charlie's communication style set the standard: he confirmed scheduled visits in advance, sent end-of-day photo updates showing completed work, and addressed any punch-list items without hesitation. When Kelsey identified small details during her twice-weekly walkthroughs, Charlie's response was always "no problem" — and he meant it. The crew — including lead tradesperson Richard — were equally respectful of Kelsey's space and maintained strict COVID-safety protocols throughout. The entire whole-home remodel wrapped up on schedule, allowing Kelsey to move into her renovated Franconia condo right on time.
