After more than fifteen years in the same Woodbridge, Virginia home, Sonia Pal Davis knew it was finally time for a change. The master bathroom had grown dark, crowded, and functionally outdated — the oversized tub consumed far too much floor space, the color palette made the room feel smaller and gloomier than it was, and the overall design simply no longer worked for Sonia and her husband. What followed was a Woodbridge bathroom remodeling experience with Bull Run Kitchen & Bath that left Sonia not just satisfied, but beaming.

The Davis family had been in their Woodbridge home since 2007. Over time, the bathroom's shortcomings became impossible to ignore: the large bathtub dominated the footprint and rarely got used, the dark color scheme made the space feel oppressive, and the dated fixtures were well past their prime. It was time for a complete renovation. The decision to go with Bull Run Kitchen & Bath came naturally. A showroom visit confirmed what the family had already heard about the team — and that visit was enough to make the decision.

Design & Materials:
"When my husband and I saw the cabinets, we automatically knew that was the color," Sonia recalled. When Matt moved on to tile selections, the couple found themselves in immediate agreement on direction — a rare occurrence that confirmed they were making the right choices. The renovation replaced the oversized tub with a more functional layout, brought in a fresh, bright color palette to counter the previous darkness, and introduced updated cabinetry and tile that gave the bathroom an entirely new character. The combination of the right cabinetry tone and complementary tile selections created a cohesive, modern space that felt dramatically different from what was there before. The result replaced years of a dark and dated bathroom with a space that is bright, organized, and tailored to how Sonia and her husband actually live.

The Transformation Process:
"They laid out tarp on the floors to make sure nothing got dirty," Sonia noted. "They kept everything contained, so we were very, very pleased with the way they kept our house during construction time."
The Bull Run team maintained a clean and organized worksite throughout the bathroom remodeling process, minimizing disruption to the household and ensuring that the finished space was pristine from the moment it was revealed.
