Inside a Skylight Master Bathroom in Vienna

What set this Vienna bathroom remodeling project apart was Sam's design vision. Recognizing that the existing skylight was positioned over an unused area of the bathroom, he proposed repositioning the entire layout to place dual sinks directly beneath it. The result is a naturally illuminated vanity zone where, as the homeowners described, "you could turn off all the lights and it's still beautiful."

The new design features:

- Dual sinks positioned under the skylight, creating individual zones for each homeowner

- A center storage stack that takes full advantage of the natural light flowing in from above

- Multiple drawers throughout — addressing the previous bathroom's near-total lack of storage

- Additional electrical outlets integrated throughout the vanity area

- A completely new layout that relocated vanities and removed the old bathtub

Every element was custom-fitted to the specific dimensions of the space. Sam measured the room two and three times before finalizing designs, and presented the homeowners with multiple layout options before they landed on the configuration that felt right. The end result is, as the clients described it, "absolute custom."

Demolition alone illustrated the scope of this Vienna bathroom remodeling project. What the homeowners estimated would have taken them a full month to demo on their own was completed in a single day by the Bull Run Kitchen & Bath crew. Work proceeded methodically from there, with foreman Irwin leading the on-site team and Sam continuing to collaborate on design decisions throughout the build. The crew maintained meticulous jobsite standards every day: tools wrapped, cords stored, protective plastic in place, and the work area swept and cleaned before leaving each evening. The homeowners — who also share their home with three large dogs — appreciated the crew's professionalism and even their patience with the household pets. Daily check-ins between the client and Irwin kept the project on track. Sam remained available throughout to weigh in on finish-level decisions like hardware choices and lighting. The entire project, from demolition to final installation, was completed in approximately three weeks.
