For Yolanda of Manassas, Virginia, finding a trustworthy remodeling contractor was not just a practical challenge — it was an emotional one. Real concerns about quality, respect for the home, and follow-through had kept her from committing for years. When she finally called Bull Run Kitchen & Bath, she did not just find a contractor. She found a team she trusted so completely that she commissioned a second bathroom remodel immediately after the first — and is already planning her kitchen.

Yolanda's Manassas bathroom remodeling journey began cautiously. Real concerns about quality and follow-through had kept her from moving forward for years, and she approached the process with genuine hesitation. When she finally called Bull Run Kitchen & Bath, Hakan — the lead designer — arrived within a day or two of her first call. He took a thorough initial survey of the bathroom, shared his ideas, and then proposed something that changed Yolanda's entire outlook on the project: he could change the shower's footprint. For 30 years, the original shower had been a tiny square that people bumped into constantly because of its size. Hakan saw an opportunity to make it dramatically larger — and the moment Yolanda heard that was possible, the project moved from "maybe" to "absolutely."
After the initial visit, Yolanda made a Saturday trip to the Bull Run Kitchen & Bath showroom. She walked in at 1:30 in the afternoon and left near 9:00 that night, with Hakan staying long after the store closed to continue working through selections and designs. By the time she left, she knew Bull Run Kitchen & Bath was her remodeler. She signed the contract Monday morning.
Design & Materials:
- Enlarged Shower: The signature achievement of the project — a significantly larger shower that replaced the cramped original. Hakan's creative footprint redesign gave Yolanda a shower that finally felt proportionate to the space and comfortable to use
- Tile Work: The tile installation was led by a craftsman Yolanda described as "really awesome." The day the floor and wall tile was fully completed was, in her words, "a real happy dance" — the moment the bathroom truly came to life
- Layout: All primary bathroom elements were repositioned to optimize the space and create a flow that the original builder's layout had never achieved
- Property Protection: The Bull Run Kitchen & Bath crew consistently protected the surrounding areas of the home — a detail that mattered deeply to Yolanda and that the team delivered on without exception
For the second bathroom, Yolanda "spread her wings" and sourced materials from outside the showroom — bringing her own selections while still relying on Bull Run Kitchen & Bath to procure, deliver, and install everything. The company accommodated this approach seamlessly.

Testimonial:
“We got there at 1:30 in the afternoon and we left darn near nine o'clock that night — and Hakan stayed. The store closed at 5:00 and he said, 'Nope, continue looking and working and figuring out what you want.' By the time we left that Saturday night, we knew this was our remodeler.”
