When Cindy of Chantilly, Virginia decided it was time to update her bathrooms, she did not do it halfway. As an original homeowner since 1991, she had been living with the same bathrooms for over three decades — long enough to know exactly what she wanted and exactly what needed to go. She connected with Bull Run Kitchen & Bath, visited the Manassas showroom, and committed to all three bathrooms at once. This Chantilly bathroom remodeling project was one of Bull Run Kitchen & Bath's most comprehensive single-home engagements, encompassing the master bathroom, the hall bathroom, and the powder room — all tackled in a coordinated effort that gave Cindy a fresh, fully updated home without the hassle of scheduling multiple separate projects over time. After 33 years in the home, the bathrooms were showing every year of their age. The hall bathroom had linoleum flooring that was visibly peeling and pulling up from the floor. Toilets throughout the home were not flushing properly. The master bathroom needed structural work — a non-load-bearing wall had to come down — and Cindy had a very specific vision for how she wanted the finished space to look and feel. She visited the Bull Run Kitchen & Bath Manassas showroom to see the work firsthand, and made an appointment with designer Hakan, who came out to take measurements and develop proposals for all three spaces.
Design & Materials:
- Beach Theme: Cindy came to the project with a clear vision — a beach-inspired aesthetic that she had been imagining for years. Hakan delivered on this vision through the selection of flooring, countertops, and finishes that evoked the warmth and ease of a coastal retreat
- Wall Removal: A non-load-bearing wall was taken down to open up the space and make room for the redesigned layout
- Massage Shower: Cindy saw a shower with massager jets on the back wall at a hotel the previous summer and knew immediately she wanted one. Bull Run Kitchen & Bath made it happen — delivering exactly what she had experienced and loved
- Flooring and Countertops: Selected to complement the beach theme, creating a space that feels like a personal spa
Hall Bathroom:
- Complete renovation of the hall bathroom, which had suffered from peeling linoleum and non-functioning toilets
- New tile flooring installed in place of the deteriorated linoleum
- Fully updated fixtures and functioning plumbing throughout
Powder Room:
- Hakan and Cindy had a minor difference of opinion about the powder room's design — and he let her have what she wanted. The result is a powder room that reflects her taste entirely, a ament to Bull Run Kitchen & Bath's client-first philosophy
Tile Work:
- Edwin was responsible for all tile installation across the three bathrooms, and his work drew specific praise from Cindy. The tile execution in particular was described as "fantastic" and stood out as one of the defining elements of the renovation's success
