A Bar Lounge Basement in Northern Virginia

The basement bar lounge was designed with a whiskey aficionado in mind. Display wall niches provide an elegant showcase for Terrence's prized collection, while the expanded bar footprint — pushed out two feet from the original plan — gives the space the grandeur it deserved. The design balances function and aesthetics, creating an environment that feels like a curated lounge while remaining entirely personal. Upstairs, the master bathroom remodel is a study in refined contrast. Terrence and Tamara started with a vision of classic black and white, and designer Charlie helped them add modern elements that elevated the concept without sacrificing elegance. Key design decisions include:

- Titanium-finish faucets and shower heads, which provide the look of a matte black finish with a sophisticated edge that allows gold accents to pop without feeling cliché

- A quartz countertop with the movement and energy of natural granite — introduced by Charlie after initial resistance to quartz from Terrence, it became one of the highlights of the room

- Black and gold accent elements woven throughout the space

- Triple crown molding finished entirely in black, running along the top of the room to add a sense of refinement and visual completion

- A six-foot-wide steam shower with three shower heads and designer niches

- A soaking tub positioned as a focal point upon entering the room

- A generous double-vanity area with separate his-and-hers sinks, including a dedicated makeup area

The 3D digital AutoCAD designs Bull Run Kitchen & Bath provided during the planning phase were instrumental in helping the Colors visualize the finished product before a single tile was laid.

Charlie's approach to the consultation set the tone for the entire project. He arrived on time, came fully prepared, and delivered designs that demonstrated he had genuinely absorbed his clients' vision rather than simply presenting a standard template. When design meetings happened, he was there. When calls needed to be made, they were made. The four-month construction period brought an entire crew into the Colors' Leesburg home. Rather than disrupting daily life, the team — including the general manager and all subcontractors — carried themselves with the professionalism of guests rather than contractors. Communication was consistent and reliable throughout every phase of the basement remodeling and the bathroom renovation, from demolition through final installation.

The Colors' experience in Leesburg illustrates what sets Bull Run Kitchen & Bath apart in the competitive Northern Virginia and DMV remodeling market. From the first consultation through the final walkthrough, Bull Run Kitchen & Bath delivers:
