Our Whole-Home Remodel Project in Bristow, VA

The Tomlinsons came to Bull Run Kitchen & Bath with ideas already forming — they had visited the showroom, seen the displays, and started imagining how certain finishes and layouts might look in their own home. The design collaboration refined those ideas into a cohesive plan. The kitchen was redesigned for maximum functionality: more usable space, improved cabinet organization, and a larger window that finally gave the family visibility to the outside — something they had always wanted. "We've always wanted visibility to outside from the kitchen," Keith noted. "Now we have a window where we could look out and enjoy the good weather."

One of the most celebrated additions was the new coffee bar — a dedicated station in the kitchen that makes the morning routine simple and enjoyable. "We're delighted with our little coffee bar here," Keith said. "You make coffee, you make tea in the morning — it's easy access." The updated cabinets offered dramatically better organization, with pull-out drawers and clearly defined storage zones replacing the cluttered, hard-to-navigate setup of the original kitchen. A new backsplash tied the design together visually, and the enlarged windows brightened the space considerably. Both bathrooms received complete remodels, with updated tile, new vanities, and fixtures selected to complement the overall aesthetic of the home.

Like many whole-home remodel projects undertaken during a challenging period, pandemic-related delivery delays affected the timeline. Materials arrived late, and scheduling had to be adjusted — circumstances beyond the control of either the homeowners or Bull Run Kitchen & Bath. But once work was underway, Keith describes the process as running "smoothly." Project manager Mr. Sana's arrival was a turning point. His role was to keep the family fully informed: letting them know what was scheduled, what each crew visit would accomplish, and what was coming in the following week. For a working family managing daily life around an active construction project, that clarity made all the difference. The construction crew — including Edwin and Oscar — impressed the Tomlinsons with their dedication. "Those guys were asking us, 'Hey, can we stay a little bit longer to finish this?' — and that made us feel like these are people who want to get the job done," Keith recalled. "They were feeling our pain. They were anxious for us to see it come to fruition."
